Students will examine and review why we do research for Life Care Plans. Research assists the Life Care Planner in building recommendations and informing the Life Care Plan. The Life Care Planner’s approach to research can support and add recommendations as add to the knowledge base of the Life Care Planner’s understanding of their client’s condition.
This offering examines the fundamental concepts and techniques for researching the elements of a Life Care Plan. A Nurse Life Care Planner can use a multi-disciplinary thought process in approaching research for well-rounded results. Consideration of the quality of research should be a consideration as well as the age of the research. In addition, the class examines the timing of when to research elements within the Life Care Plan and how timing might affect the results of their recommendations and collaboration. Ethical considerations and format round out the overall process.
